Awards System

I. X-triathlon (9 groups in total) Bonus

(i)X-triathlon Ranking Awards: The total bonus is 343,800 CNY (pre-tax). The top 16 athletes in each age group will receive the bonus (top 3 will also receive trophies). If there are fewer than 18 athletes in a category, the number of awarded rankings will be reduced by 3.

(ii)Overall Record Awards: The total bonus for breaking the overall records in 2024 is 300,000 CNY (pre-tax). 200,000 CNY for the Men’s category (as the Men’s record was not broken in 2023, 100,000 CNY will be accumulated from that year), 100,000 CNY for the Women's category . Athletes who break the Men’s overall record in any of the 5 age groups will share the Men’s overall record bonus, and the best performance will become the new record. Similarly, athletes who break the Women’s overall record in any of the 4 age groups will share the Women’s overall record bonus, and the best performance will become the new record. If no records are broken in the current year, the record bonus will accumulate and be awarded in the 2025 record category.

(iii)The Men Record of X-triathlon is 5 hrs 24’52’’. The Women Record of X-triathlon is 6 hrs24’24’’.

II X-Sprint and X-Fun

The top 3 athletes in each group of X-Sprint and X-Fun will receive trophies and the bonus. The top 8 athletes will receive the bonus(pre-tax total prize money is 165,700 CNY).

Supplementary Explanation of Prize Distribution: When the number of athletes in a single group is between 8 and 12, the top 6 athletes will receive cash prizes. When the number of athletes is between 4 and 8, the top 3 athletes will receive cash prizes. If there are fewer than 3 athletes in a single group, the number of prize recipients will be reduced by 1. If there is only 1 participant in a single group, their performance will be merged with the previous lower age group for prize allocation.

III.X-Relay

The top 3 teams will receive trophies and the bonus, and the top 8 teams will receive the bonus (pre-tax total of 11,700 yuan).

  IV Others

All athletes with valid results will receive memorial medals.

The performance certificates will be distributed on-site at the main venue’s member service area. The completion certificate for each year will serve as an important basis for obtaining eligibility for future registration in the Weihai Triathlon.

The competition prize money will be distributed after the race by the Weihai Municipal Sports Bureau through bank transfer. Winners are advised to prepare their name, bank name, bank account number, and contact information in advance for the receipt of funds.
